Nine letter word, starts with T, has 3 R's

I must be vewwy vewwy careful here, WordPress doesn’t like the Te**o*ist word, and I don’t want to be suspended again.

However, the case of Mr. T and his head sticking out like a turtle in his te**o*ist video has been haunting me.  I’m going to overcome my reservations about helping him at least to the extent of providing him with a roadmap of using his perceptual system in that big bushyness of hair to help him with his turtling.

That big bushy hair is covering up what amounts to a big nerve ganglion of head. The dark glasses are covering up the perceptual system that we will start with, the eyes and how to use them for less turtling.

So, for starters, stand in front of a mirror and look yourself right in the eyeballs. No matter your “fail” of commission or omission, looking right in your eyeballs anyway. Imagine a dot, not a little dot as in dot/com, but a dot maybe the size of a 3 dimensional quarter or a mini-hand granade. (Missspelling for censors.)

Place this dot behind the bridge of your nose and back between your ears, in your head.  This is going to be base camp for the vision.  In fact, vision is registered in the brain, back in the region of this gravity center of the head.  The eyes are only a lens, the report is taken back in the brain, and processed there.

Now, back to the dot, behind the bridge of the nose which also supports your bandana mask, and back between the ears, in the mid-region of the head.

Imagine this dot, move it around a bit as you stand looking into your eyeballs.  You may even feel your whole body shift as you move the dot back, further back between your ears.  Your system may yell a bit:  “Not so far!”  That is your proprioceptive nerves, trying to tell you that “we always did it that way and we want it like it was!”

Never mind that, those proprioceptive nerves after an initial warning of “Danger” can adapt to a new idea, if it is worthy.

So, you have your dot, behind the bridge of your nose and back between your ears, and you are still looking yourself in the eyeballs.  Allow your peripheral vision to come while still looking in your eyeballs.

Then, unfurl your dot in your head, let the dot be a movie screen there in the back of your head and BRING YOUR IMAGE ONTO YOUR SCREEN, which is behind the bridge of the nose and back between your ears.

This one,  allowing the image “seen” to come to you, to come to your screen,  most likely will take that turtle impulse out of your head.  If you were here, I could fine tune it a bit for you.  If any part causes discomfort, go back to a simpler version with less stimulus to it, or leave it altogether.  If all systems are go, however:

Coda:  the image is allowed to come to you, in that center of the head.  (and..It could be a complete image, the all around of it, the hearing of it, the taste of it, the sense of the energy of it… go on with your value system of what you like to perceive, with the complete allowing of the vision to come to you.)

I first learned a version of this from Rosemary Feitis, back in 1983, and noticed especially liking the colors which became more present.  It is a great trip to see art like this, or nature.

Linda//btw Rolfers, this center is my candidate for G”’, the gravity center of the head. (Given that, a la Hubert Godard, the center of gravity of the hips is 2 inches below the navel in the center of the abdominal cavity, and the center of gravity of the rib cage is about 4 inches below the sternal notch, around the level of Thoracic #4, in the center of the rib cage.)
